If we are in the canyon, it may be a day or two before we return your call or email. We do walk out regularly to pick up phone messages and our email is monitored by someone else when we are in the canyon.

Reaching Visitors Who Are on a Trip:
There is no phone service in the canyon and you will not be reachable once you have entered the canyon. In the case of a real emergency, you can contact the Canyon de Chelly National Monument Park Headquarters and ask that they go into the Canyon to make contact with Lupita at Footpath Journeys. Please only do this in case of a real emergency.

Non-emergency messages can be left at the hotel you intend to stay at the night you hike out or, of course, on your personal cell phone for later retrieval.
